We deliver what we promise, it's our commitment to you
Arptech is a privately owned Rapid Prototyping company based in Melbourne, Australia. We are building prototypes across multiple industries for 20 years, using state of the art Rapid Prototyping technologies.
We value Our ClientsOur quality of work and customer service is second to none. That's why our business is built on repeat customers base, and the majority of our customers are derived from word of mouth referrals.
Quality assuranceWe always aim to exceed our customers expectations. We follow stringent quality measures to ensure your parts meet the highest quality standards.
Popular RP Materials at a glance
CNC (Aluminium)
Aluminium is the most widely used non-ferrous metal. Aluminium is a soft, Durable, Lightweight, Ductile and Malleable metal with appearance ranging from Silvery to Dull Grey, depending on the surface roughness. Aluminium naturally generates a protective oxide coating and is highly corrosion resistant.
FDM - 3DP (ABS or PLA)
FDM parts are built into layers using various grades of thermoplastics. Typically FDM parts have layering steps on side walls which can be smoothened by post processing operation. FDM parts are strong and durable make them suitable for form, fit and functional testing. We use ABS and PLA resins on FDM 3D printers.
CNC (Clear Acrylic)
Also known as PMMA (PolyMethyl-MetaAcrylate) is an amorphous thermoplastic material with very good optical properties. Acrylic is often used as a glass substitute because of excellent optical clarity, Good Abrasion Resistance and environmental stability.
SLA (DSM Somos 14120)
DSM Somos 14120 is a low viscosity liquid photopolymer that produces strong, tough and water-resistant parts having a white, opaque appearance. Somos 14120 offers many properties that mimic traditional engineering plastics including ABS and PBT, makes it ideal for many applications.
CNC - ABS
CNC ABS (Acrylonitrite Butadine Styrene) is general purpose rigid Thermoplastic with a combination of properties that make it ideal for the wide range of applications. Smooth finish, High impact strength and Stiffness, Good Dimensional Stability. Easy to glue, paint or Chrome Plated.
SLS - NYLON
SLS also known as Selective Laser Sintering, primarily used to quickly produce three dimensional parts, layer by layer, from powdered materials. The CO2 Laser provides a concentrated heating which welds (sinters) the powder within a precisely controlled chamber. SLS has distinctive advantage of having wide variety of materials that can be suitable for functional analysis.
PU - RUBBER
VC (Vacuum Casting) is typically used for casting prototypes out of polyurethane resins. The process starts with creation of master model, using various RP techniques. This master model is used to build a silicon rubber mould. Now these mould cavities are used to cast large variety of polyurethane or epoxy materials available.

What's Rapid Prototyping
Prototyping is an initial stage of product development process, whereby it enables designers to evaluate the design intent. Rapid prototyping plays a pivotal role in an engineering product design context, helping designers to find an optimum design solution by iterative design methodology.
What's 3D Printing
3d printing is a generic term primarily used for additive manufacturing, where an object is created layer by layer. There are a number of 3DP technologies borrowed from large RP systems, the major difference is material choice, build speed and accuracy of parts.
What is CNC Machining?
CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control, refers to a computer "controller" that drives a machine tool. CNC machining is one of our most widely used service, suitable for functional, smooth and accurate parts directly machined out of engineering plastics or metals.
FDM
(Fused Deposition Modeling)FDM also known as Fused Deposition Modeling is a layered additive manufacturing system. FDM offers functional and durable prototypes using thermoplastics. Typically, we use ABS, PLA, TPU on our FDM 3D printers. The FDM technology is commonly applied to form, fit, function analysis and concept visualisation.
SLA
(Stereolithography)SLA also known as Stereolithography, provides accurate parts with an excellent surface finish. SLA Process works by curing liquid photopolymers into solid cross-sections, layer by layer, using an ultraviolet laser. SLA is widely used for conceptual models, master patterns, product visualisation and verification.
VC
(Vacuum Casting)Vacuum casting, also refers to RTV molding is an excellent choice where production-like parts are needed. Typically used for making 15 to few hundred functional prototypes out of a broad range of polyurethane resins with various physical properties. Also, an excellent choice for Rubber like flexible prototypes.
